Notice for members with a August 2023 eligibility renewal month

  • 08/02/2023

Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) takes extra steps to ensure Medicaid Assistance enrollees stay insured.

Members with a August 2023 eligibility renewal will get one additional month to return their renewal form. Loss of eligibility due to missing paperwork will not take effect until September 1. This gives you 31 more days to turn in complete and accurate renewal paperwork.

  • If you have not returned your renewal form, you should do so immediately.
  • If you have already sent in your renewal form, no further actions is needed unless your county worker sends you a request for more information.
  • If you already completed your renewal and were determined ineligible for coverage after an eligibility review, you will still lose coverage. If you want to know why you are no longer eligible or want to file an appeal, call 612-596-1300 to talk with your county worker or go to hennepin.us/health-care-assistance.

DHS’s goal is to have zero eligible Minnesotans lose coverage and are doing as much as they can to make that happen.

You can learn when your renewal paperwork is due and get answers to frequently asked questions by visiting mn.gov/dhs/renewmycoverage.
