Hennepin Health provides transportation to members who need assistance getting to and from health services that are covered due to a medical and/or psychological condition or disability. If eligible, members can apply for a monthly bus pass. Taxis and special transportation can also be arranged in certain circumstances. Note: Members that have a "L" on their ID already need to obtain a blank transportation card from Metro Transit and then bring the card to Hennepin Health's Walk-In Service Center to be loaded once their appointments are lined up.

Members who qualify for a monthly bus pass now have the option to have their bus pass reloaded over the telephone. In addition to this service being more convenient for members, it will allow the walk-in service staff more time to assist members with tasks such as connecting them to resources, completing paperwork and resolving billing issues. Members who currently qualify for and are using a monthly bus pass still have the option to reload their bus pass in person at Hennepin Health. Members who have not yet received a bus pass or have lost their bus pass will need to come to the walk-in service center to obtain a new bus pass.
