Key points

  • Hennepin Health members with Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare insurance must renew their eligibility. Members should be aware of the renewal process and complete renewal requirements to avoid losing health insurance.
  • Members who need help completing the paperwork can call Member Services to help them find a MNsure navigator or they can find one online at Help from a Navigator / MNsure. Eligible members can get a free ride to their navigator appointment by calling Member Services at 612-596-1036, TTY 711.
  • Members and providers can visit mn.gov/dhs/renewmycoverage to learn more about renewing health insurance.

Background

Due to a new federal law, members who have Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare health insurance must renew their eligibility. Members who have Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare will receive a renewal packet in the mail from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) about 6–8 weeks before the month they originally enrolled. Members should be aware of the renewal process and complete renewal requirements to avoid losing health insurance and possible disruptions in seeing a doctor or filling a prescription.
Members and providers can visit mn.gov/dhs/renewmycoverage to learn more about renewing health insurance.
